Steve Armstrong - Team Leader
Our cyber security team consists of talent, with experience in many technical security disciplines. The team is led by Steve Armstrong, a career expert who began his cyber career with UK Royal Air Force (RAF), heading the RAF’s Penetration and TEMPEST team.
Steve led the first Joint UK cyber security teams in Iraq, designed and made operational various cyber reconnaissance capabilities within the Ministry of Defense (MoD). Armstrong also currently consults and supports the RAF Digital Defense Cyber Specialist programs including assistance to the MoD.
Steve currently serves as the Incident Manager Technical Director for Electronic Arts (EA) Games and leading teams of 20+ staff for EA’s Incident Response team.
Armstrong has founded Logically Secure, a boutique IT Security consultancy providing bespoke services to Fortune 100 companies, Ultra High Network families and individuals (UHNWF), and other private firms. Under Armstrong’s direction, Logically Secure was awarded a US patent for “Incident response management system and method” in July 2017. Armstrong also wrote the audit standard that was adopted by the Content Delivery and Security Association (CDSA), the industry recognized Film, Music, and Trade Body.

Matt Winningham - Local and Stateside Coordinator
Matt, in collaboration with Lewis Merletti, the 19th Director of the United States Secret Service, created Ashwood Risk Management Solutions (RMS) and Ashwood Force Protective Services (FPS) to specifically provide turn-key security and transportation solutions for the cannabis industry, while also providing bespoke services to wealthy and high-profile boutique clientele.
Matt currently serves as the Managing Director of Ashwood RMS and Ashwood FPS, which created a “cradle to grave” security program for Buckeye Relief, the largest cannabis cultivator, processor, and dispensary company in Ohio.
Winningham’s suite of Ashwood security consulting services specializes in the following core areas: Cyber Penetration and Vulnerability Assessments, Cyber Security Awareness Program Development, Threat Assessments and Threat Management, and Technical Surveillance Countermeasure (TCSM).
Matt has developed U.S. Patent-Pending TCSM products for niche areas of security and privacy markets.
Winningham was previously the Executive Vice President and Director of Security of CGH Global, a multi-disciplined company specializing in security, technology and fire/rescue. He was also instrumental in developing the cyber and physical security audit program for the CDSA (Content Delivery Security Association) for the motion picture industry. This included coordination with the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and the “Big Six” studios (Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros., Walt Disney, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate).

Matt has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and served as an officer in the United States Navy.
